Family sets up GoFundMe after grandmother's cancer diagnosis

“I want people to know that if you go to your doctor, and you think that something is wrong, and they're telling you, oh it's this or that, you can get a second opinion, a second set of eyes looking at the facts,” said Lisa Drummond (left), pictured with daughter Melissa Fauber. Lisa Drummond is 53 years old. The mother to three children and grandmother to six grandchildren said she checked herself into the emergency room in December 2018 after two years of chronic digestive issues.

A scan was ordered that finally delivered an explanation for her symptoms: colorectal cancer.

Now her family has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover medical expenses.

"I'm not giving up, but I'm also realistic, it's stage four. It's already metastasized. I'm just looking now for a quality life. ... I want to be pain-free," Drummond said.
